    The St. Johns County Medical Alliance is pleased to announce their 2017 scholarship recipients who will start college in the Fall:

    • Sycora Benavides will attend the University of Florida.
    • Anjela Gurrala will attend the University of Florida.
    • Kaitlin Hains is heading to Old Miss.
    • Caroline Jones is heading to Vanderbilt.
    • Jayachandra Kuru will attend the University of Florida.
    • Sarah Lewis will attend the University of South Florida.
    • Emily Lube will attend the University of Florida.
    • Kiana Rahim will attend the University of Florida.
    • Adam Snowden will start college at Duke University.

    Their scholars who will receive continued funding include the following students:

    • Hunter Green, who will start medical school at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Fall.
    • Matthew Guthrie, currently at the University of Florida
    • Cynthia Hund, who is at Clemson University and
    • Jensen Thompson, currently at the University of Florida

    We are so VERY PROUD of each of you!

    Gavel Club is comprised of the past presidents of the Florida Medical Association Alliance. Ten of them - that's a decade's worth of Presidencies! - converged upon Orlando to attend the Gavel Club Breakfast at Annual Meeting.

    Most of Florida is in the Eastern Time Zone but about half the panhandle is in the Central Time Zone. From now on we'll be listing State event times for both.

    If you would like to join the FMA PAC, visit fmapac.org and click on the Donate button. It's only $100 for Alliance members and goes towards supporting pro medicine legislation.

    We were bound and determined to keep the trophy for another year. We asked meeting attendees, enlisted spouses, and called and texted friends to help us secure our first place spot. It worked! Thank you to all those who joined the FMA PAC during Annual Meeting weekend!

    Congratulations to the following for their outstanding achievements!

    Best Youth Oriented Community Service Program

     1st Place was awarded to Collier County Medical Society Alliance for "Teenagers as Parents for two schools."

     2nd Place was awarded to Orange County Medical Society Alliance for "Hands Are NOT for Hitting in two schools"

     

    Best County Fundraiser

     1st Place was awarded to Collier County Medical Society Alliance for "Fashion Show for Scholarships"

    2nd Place was awarded to Sarasota County Medical Society Alliance for "Giving Challenge and Development of Videos"

    Do you wish you could attend the Annual Meeting and help support the FMA Alliance, but your schedule isn't able to accommodate the timing of our meeting? 

    Well why not consider supporting the Alliance with the purchase of an ad or the donation of your registration fee? 

    With the donation  of your registration fee you'll help to offset the costs of putting on our meeting, and support the efforts of the organization in keeping our membership informed and engaged.  Visit our Events tab above, click on Annual Meeting and Register using the "Registration Donation-Unable to Attend" option. 

    Prefer to send a message to your peers or recognize your business, your County Alliance, or an individual?    

    The Annual Meeting Program is a great opportunity to create and share a message or a business ad.  Click on Events tab above, then Purchase an ad,  choose what size ad you'd like to submit and follow the directions.

    It's easy to help out, even when you are not able to be present.  Please consider supporting the FMA Alliance with an ad or by donating your registration fee.

    Watch for website updates including meeting documents, post announcements, pictures and ads.

    The initial  Annual Meeting Documents are available via our website.  Click on 2017 Annual Meeting Documents tab above.  Then click on the individual documents to read or print them out.

    If you haven't already registered to join us in August, registration takes just a few minutes and can be done online. Just click on Events tab above.

    Make sure you check back often as  information becomes available we'll be adding it to our website. 

    We are looking forward to seeing you Orlando!
